WHAT IS A
In short, a heart trail is a pop up walking trail, using modern way-finding techniques and affordable signage installations to direct citizens and visitors throughout their city with the hopes of increasing exercise and business interactions. With little to no new infrastructure requirements, a heart trail can be built in a day or implemented over several weeks. The goal is simple, offer a trail for the people to enjoy their city, while recognizing the importance of daily exercise and heart healthy life styles.

Using Google Maps.At this time, we can not provided a turn by turn guideance, we ask that you locate your position via the blue dot on the map. Then using the directional compass attached to this blue dot, you can move your phone around until it points to the first heart icon. From there, simpy follow each heart. DO NOT WALK WITH YOUR HEAD DOWN. OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS.

Why is the trail not loading on my Google Maps application? There are several factors that could cause the Trail Map to not overlay on your application. The best solution we have found is to close both your web browser and Google Maps application. From there, open the Your Heart Trail website and select your trail again. Please ensure that you are not using incognito mode on Google Chrome. This will not work. If the problem continues, please check your App store to ensure you have the latest verison of the Google Maps application and web brower.

How long are the walking trails? Each trail is different in length and design. We aim to design a walking experience that will increase your heart rate enough to help fight heart disease. From a 5k (3.2 mile) walking trail to 1.5 miles, you can walk the trail as long or as short as you want.

Can I bring my pet?Every trail is designed on public infrastructure, thus you are allowed to bring your pet. We ask that you be polite to other users on the trail and manage your pet via leash or space between visitors.
